Surrounded by rolling hills this five star resort was built in the traditional Andalucian architecture style and nestled between the two 18 hole golf courses of La Cala Resort. The executive golf course (6 holes par 3) is next to the worldwide well known David Leadbetter Golf Academy. A shuttle bus service transfers the golfers from the Hotel to the Golf Academy. However, La Cala Resort offers much more than golf and a five star hotel. A great variation of sporting activities are at the guests disposal: A football pitch with WIFA specifications, 2 flood light- tennis courts, a squash court, fitness centre, sauna, inside and outside pools, outside jacuzzi, kidspool, mountain bikes, etc. Two Restaurants and 2 Bars offering fine food and entertainment from 6:30 am till late in the evening. La Cala is ideal for events, conferences and product launches.

Located in the Golf Valley of Mijas, just 30 minutes drive from Malaga international airport and 22 minutes to Marbella and Puerto Banus. Although La Cala Resort is in the hills in a tranquil location it is only 7 km to the beach. Due to it's central location on the Costa del Sol it is very easy to reach the sort after golf courses from Malaga till Valderama. Ideally situated for visiting the historical cities in the Andalucia region, Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, Ronda and the tour of the white villages, all are within a 2 hour drive. Malaga old town has been beautifully restored and now hosts the Picasso Museum which has recently opened to public. Mijas itself is also a wonderful typical Andalucian village, really worth a visit. For those that just need to shop, there is Puerto Banus, Marbella's old town and "La Cañada Shopping Mall" with over 100 shops with international and national brands. For evening entertainment in the evenings you can choose between the port of Fuengirola, Torremolinos and Puerto Banus. They have restaurants for every taste, bars and discos, all within a 20 minute drive.
