The Grandhotel Schoenegg is a small family owned hotel which accommodates a maximum of 75 people in 33 rooms, 2 suites and 1 family apartment. Situated in the most beautiful location, overlooking Zermatt and with a spectacular view of the famous Matterhorn. The hotel has its own private lift - The Schoenegg Express - which takes you from the town center traight up to the reception. The Sunnegga lift and the bus stop for the Klein Matterhorn lift are within one minute walk from the tunnel entrance, the Gornergrat train, main railway station and the village center are all within five minutes walk. Our hotel is well known for its fine cooking and choice of wines. The restaurant -Gourmetstuebli- offers an excellent choice of a-la-carte dishes or for our halfboard guests, our chef creates a five course meal ending every day on a high point. To relax after a strenous day, we recommend our new renovated spa area with sauna, steambath, Jacuzzi and -Kneipp -corner. Or try one of our well known relaxing massages. On your arrival in Zermatt we fetch you at the station or at the taxi stand and bring you back when you leave. Cancellation without penalty is possible until 16:00 hours hotel time, 28 days prior to arrival.
