Arriving by train? Coming from GENEVA, change at Visp or Brig (not all the fast trains stop at Visp). Coming from BASEL, ZURICH, BERN or MILAN, change at Brig. The Glacier-Express from CHUR or ST. MORITZ goes straight through to Zermatt. Arriving by car? Zermatt is a car-free resort and cannot be reached by private car. Motorists must leave their car at Tasch, the village before Zermatt. You can park either at the public car park or in an underground garage (spaces can be reserved by the hotel). From there you proceed to Zermatt by train or taxi.
