Our late Georgian family guest house, circa 1830, offers first class bed and breakfast accommodation, set in a quiet residential street just ten minutes stroll from Canterbury city centre with its magnificent cathedral and many places of historic interest. It is ideally situated for exploring the city, coastline or the beautiful Kent countryside and is an ideal location for short breaks, long weekends or business trips. All of the hotel bedrooms have been professionally designed to a high standard, offering either single, twin, double, queen or king-sized beds. All rooms have en-suite facilities, with either a bath and shower room, or en-suite shower room. The Garden Room has a queen-sized four poster bed and spacious bathroom. It is situated on the ground floor and is ideal for that special occasion - honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, a special guest, or simply to spoil yourself. With complimentary drinks on arrival, everything is done to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. Magnolia House is not licensed, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks - corkscrews, ice and chillers can all be provided. It is a strictly non smoking hotel. Guests have their own keys and free access throughout the day to their rooms and the guest sitting room, which is well stocked with books, magazines, board games and tourist information. There is an extensive range of sample menus from the excellent local restaurants, all within walking distance. We will happily make reservations to the theatre, restaurants and other visitor and historic attractions for you.
