Guests enjoy total privacy in the spa with exclusive access which can be booked by the hour- subject to a maximum of four guests at any one time. The castle is surrounded by the family estate in which guests have access to rivers, reservoirs, moorland, dales and beautiful countryside bordering the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Road Swinton Park is situated: - half a mile from the small market town of Masham - 8 miles from Ripon - 5 miles from the A1 (directions from the A1 are below) - 32 miles from the historic city of York - 35 miles from Leeds Directions from the A1: *********** A1 ROADWORKS******************* Until the end of 2009, the B6267 junction is closed. For the time being, if you are travelling south down the A1, please take the junction for Bedale/Leeming Bar, and go through Bedale and follow the signs to Masham. Heading northbound up the A1, take the junction for the A61 for Ripon. Continue towards Ripon and at the roundabout turn right. At the mini roundabout turn left. Go straight ahead and at the Clock Tower lights turn right onto the road signposted A1608. Remain on this road and follow signs to North Stainley and then on West Tanfield. When reaching West Tanfield turn left at the mini-roundabout following signs for Masham. Once you reach Masham town centre follow the road past the Market Square and HSBC Bank. Take 2nd right onto Swinton Terrace, this road will lead you past Masham Golf Course and up the hill to the gates of Swinton Park.
