The Parkbury is conveniently located only a few minutes from Sandowns busy centre, seafront promenade and lively leisure centre. Throughout the centrally heated hotel, extensive use has been made of wood panelling and marquetry recovered from the R.M.S Aquitania - last of the four famous funnelled Cunard ocean liners. The ocean travel theme has also been extended to many parts of the Hotel through signage and memorabilia. The Aquitania Lounge Bar is centrally located in the hotel and has live entertainment in the main season. There is a well stocked bar which has a good selection of wines, spirits and beers. The Parkbury and Cunard White Star lounges are comfortably furnished, non-smoking rooms, providing a suitable place to socialise away from the activity of the bar. Our restaurant offers a superb choice of three course meals with at least three hot, one vegetarian and a seasonal salad main course. Our resident chef changes the menu daily and employs local produce when preparing meals. Bedrooms are all en-suite with bath or shower and include tea/coffee making facilities, colour television, hair dryer and direct dial telephone with alarm call function. Bedrooms are all located on the ground and first floors and are all non-smoking areas. Family Suites and Rooms are available, for up to four persons sharing. The hotel also has a civil ceremony licence for those people wishing to get married at the Parkbury Hotel. A large front garden laid to lawn with terraced patio, pond and ornamental fountain is an ideal spot to relax with a pot of tea or something stronger from the nearby bar. The lovely outdoor heated swimming pool is open May to September is located in a secluded rear garden with a lawn and patio area. A dedicated changing room, toilet and fresh water shower are provided. A sauna with shower is conveniently housed on the ground floor and reservations can be made with reception. A Games Room is exclusively situated on the lower ground floor. Facilities include pool table, television and table games.
