About Buxted Park Hotel
Perfectly located in the heart of East Sussex, close to Brighton and Hove and within easy access of Gatwick Airport and London. Few country house hotels can boast a history as rich or colourful as Buxted Park. The original house dates back over 800 years to 1199 but the present house, a grade II listed Georgian mansion, was built in 1725 by Sir Thomas Medley. Set in 312 acres of Sussex parkland through which the River Uck meanders and deer roam, it is one of the finest examples of Palladian style architecture. Its light, airy rooms with large windows look out onto beautifully tended lawns and gardens, the sumptuous sofas, the rich fabrics, and the general air of understated opulence all conspire to put you at your ease.
