The Strater Hotel has been the centerpiece of Historic Durango since 1887. Walk into the lobby and lose a century. Memorabilia of historical significance fill display cases throughout the hotel. Each of our 93 guest rooms is appointed with hand-painted wallpaper, custom made window dressings, and authentic American Victorian-era antiques. The hotel is located in the heart of historical downtown Durnago. The Durango and Silverton Train is two blocks south of the hotel and Mesa Verde National Park is located approximately one hour west of the hotel. Durnago Mountain Resort is thirty minutes north of the hotel.
