Pagosa Springs derives its name from the Ute Indian name -Pagosah- which roughly translated means healing or boiling waters. The Utes discovered the healing power of the Hot Springs, and to this day, Pagosa welcomes travelers looking to soak away whatever might be plaguing them. The area offers numerous recreational opportunities within thirty minutes or less of the charming town of Pagosa Springs. In the vast playground of Colorado's largest wilderness area, Weminuche Wilderness, you will be able to experience hiking, fishing, biking, rafting, camping, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and horseback riding or quietly enjoy viewing abundant wildlife. Don't forget your camera. Some of the highest and most dazzling waterfalls in the state of Colorado are found throughout the area. Some provide unique hiking challenges and all provide exquisite photographic opportunities. There is a USD 45.00 damage fee per stay that is non-refundable. There is also a one time cleaning fee of USD 100.00 that is collected upon check-in. The Check-in is 4:00 p.m. and check-out is 10:00 a.m. A reservations policy and contract will be provided for signature during your stay. We set out a packet in a box next to our front door that has the tenant's name on it with keys. There is also an emergency number to reach someone who can be there within 5 minutes to help. Pagosa Springs, Colorado is becoming a destination resort community because of our world renowned Hot Springs, Wolf Creek Ski Area -more natural snow then anywhere else in Colorado-, 3 million acres of national forest and wilderness, two major rivers and activities too numerous to go over.
