The Inn built in 1930 by Arizona Congresswoman Isabella Greenway is still owned and operated by its founding family and continues to fulfill its original mission as a sophisticated desert retreat giving its guests comfort privacy quiet and sunshine. The combination of history antiques and architecture has earned the Inn a listing on the National Register of Historic Places and a reputation as one of the best hotels in the world. Lushly landscaped and brimming with charm this 1930s resort is located in a historic neighborhood a mile from the University of Arizona campus and medical center and 3 miles from downtown Tucson. In warm weather the resort hosts ice-cream socials by the 60-foot outdoor pool. Cooler months bring complimentary high tea. The acclaimed restaurant serves international and Southwestern fare. Although the Arizona Inn was originally two miles outside of town it is now in a central city location surrounded by a quiet residential area less than one mile from the University of Arizona and walking distance to the University Medical Center and Arizona Cancer Center.
