For skiing, the Powderhorn lifts are virtually at your doorstep. The resort also sponsors a childrens Learn to Ski program. In warm weather, many lakes offer trout fishing and other water activities. Mountain bike rentals and horseback riding are available at Mesa Lakes Resort, five miles away. Powderhorn is on the nations list of scenic byways. Colorado National Monument, Glenwood Spring natural hot-springs pools, Delta County and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison are all within a 90-minute drive. A USD 75.00 security deposit is required.
