Originally built in the early 1900s, with quality and style, this mansion is now home to eight unique, large and comfortable condominium units that preserve the charm of the original mansion. These eight large one and two bedroom well appointed units feature full kitchens, cable TV, coffee makers, microwaves, refrigerators, stoves, window or floor A/C units and gas grills. There is a huge wrap around porch for all of the quiet enjoyment of the guests. The most significant change occurred at the Stonegate Mansion when interval ownership was introduced in August 1985. The developers of the property engaged PT1 Associates from Columbia, South Carolina to design the interior. Their work resulted with Stonegate Mansion receiving a first place recognition from the National Timeshare Commission in Washington, D.C. for the renovations of the property. Stonegate is within walking distance of the town of Great Barrington, a quintessential rural town, located in the southwestern corner of Massachusetts, that has maintained its small town charm and character, even as it has grown to meet the business, educational, shopping, entertainment and recreational needs of residents and visitors in the tri-state region it shares with eastern New York and northwestern Connecticut. Fro Tour the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, see the Boston Symphony Orchestra perform at Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow, go to theaters and visit the many antiques shops and cultural attractions that the region hosts. During the winter, head to the mountains and challenge yourself on local ski slopes, only three miles away. We are less than 30 minutes away from three championship golf courses, and a highly rated golf school. Stonegate is a timeshare and although we are not selling any intervals at this time, there are weeks available to rent.
