And of course, no visit would be complete without a stop at the Utah State Capitol Building, which is set on 40 beautiful acres. If you're visiting in September, be sure to check out the Utah State Fair, held each year in Salt Lake City. This city is the international headquarters for the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints and houses the Mormon Temple and Mormon Tabernacle. Hiking and biking are just minutes from downtown, and the surrounding areas of Salt Lake City offer stunning views of the natural desert landscape.
