Smithfield Station is in the heart of historic Smithfield Virginia, and is ideally located directly on the Pagan River. This 44 room waterfront property offers luxury accomodations, a full restaurant, marina, and a seasonal outdoor pool. Featuring a unique selection of room types ranging from spacious luxury rooms with private balconies in the lodge, to their separate Boardwalk Rooms and Cottages, to even the option to stay in the Lighthouse. Whether you are coming for business or for pleasure, this unique waterfront inn features something for everyone and is sure to be the perfect setting for your next getaway. The Lodge at Smithfield Station is our newest addition. Opened in September 2007, the new lodge offers 22 high end, boutique style rooms. All rooms are waterfront and all but two have private balconies. Our lighthouse was modeled after the Hooper Strait Light in Maryland, now located at the Maritime Museum in St. Micahels, MD, the Light at Smithfield is an exact replica of a working Chesapeake Bay Style Lighthouse. The upstairs suite is the Capt. Sinclair Honeymoon Suite, and the downstairs is the Capt. Todd Executive Suite. The Boardwalk Rooms and Cottages are located along the boardwalk between the Lighthouse and the original building.
