Riad Maison Bleue occupies a 19th Century house that once belonged to Moulay Bel Arbi El Alaoui, an eminent judge and professor of theology. A famous Moroccan philosopher, Aziz Lahbadi was also born and raised in this house. Today is serves as the second guesthouse restored and run by the El Abbadi family, and consists of three interconnecting houses, which create an intimate and romantic atmosphere. The 18 suites, comfortable restaurant, private spa and hammam, well-equipped gym, relaxing terraces and two intimate bars exude an air of discreet luxury. The main courtyard, with its swimming pool and lush garden is surrounded by three deluxe rooms and a Moorish salon with guest computer. Here you will be welcomed upon arrival with a bowl of orange-blossom scented milk and almond-stuffed dates. Further accommodation is located in The Pavillion of the Astrolabes, which are named after 5 antique Astrolabes that adorn the patio. This house is a contemplative space with creamy ornate plasterwork offset by galleries of carved wooden latticework, The furniture is an eclectic mix of antiques, retro and specially designed modern pieces, which work together in fashionable harmony. The Pavillion of the Astrolabes can also be rented in its entirety for larger groups wanting private accommodation. Our newest wing has four elegant suites that combine the best of both worlds. Timeless Moroccan style has been merged with more modern minimalism, resulting in elegant interiors and luxurious comfort. All 18 suites are equipped with an en-suite bathroom, reverse-cycle air-conditioning/heating, telephone, television, Internet access, mini bar and room safe. Three terraces offer breathtaking views of the different aspects of the Medina. The Riad Maison Bleue and Spa is located on the edge of Fez Medina and is reached by a well-lit street just one minutes walk from a large car parking area called Ain Azliten, so it is easily accessible by car or taxi. Across the parking area is the Talaa Kbira, the main street of the Medina with many shops and tourist attractions. Fez Medina is an ancient walled city, the whole of which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
