Here you can visit the lighthouses at Cape Henry, one of which was the first lighthouse authorized by the U.S. government. Sometimes called the Historic Triangle, the Virginia Peninsula includes Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown. Visit Yorktown to tour the battlefields and see for yourself the birthplace of this nation. The Norfolk Botanical Garden has 12 miles of walking trails; you will want to bring your camera.
